What this mod does
50 New Hazmat Cargo is a mod by ArcticBora that adds 50 hazardous loads to American Truck Simulator, spread across the existing classes. The base game has 24. It has over 22,000 subscribers.
Some of the new loads
- Class 1: ammunition, black powder, explosives and liquid propellant.
- Class 2: acetylene, helium, liquid hydrogen, cryogenic neon and xenon.
- Class 3: acetone, benzene, kerosene and naphtha.
- Class 4: lithium, sodium, white phosphorus and zinc powder.
- Class 6: arsenic, potassium cyanide, vaccines and virus samples.
- Class 8: lead-acid batteries, nitric acid, formaldehyde and hydrazine.
Details
The best-paying ones are vaccines, virus samples, hydrazine, neon, krypton and xenon. Each load has its own icon. Chemical plants accept all of them; airports, ports, mines, oil companies, gas stations and farms get the ones that fit their business. The mod removes non-hazardous cargo from the Chemso, Syntetico, Epro and Gastream chemical companies.
Installation and version
You need to reset the cargo market: briefly add or remove a map, sleep to skip time or use the console. The author tested it on 1.60 and updated it on September 2, 2026. Players are already asking for 1.61. One player says the lithium never made it to the container ship.

How to install it
- Open the "50 New Hazmat Cargo" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Reset the cargo market: briefly enable or remove a map, sleep to skip time or use the console.
- Look for the new loads at chemical plants and other industries.
Common problems
Why can't I see the loads?
You need to reset the cargo market, as the author explains.
Does it add new hazard classes?
No: the author says they can't be added; he spreads the loads across the existing ones.
Which ones pay the most?
Vaccines, virus samples, hydrazine, neon, krypton and xenon.
