What this mod does

Aleutian Islands is a map by Edward Elgar that started out as “Adak Island” and now expands to Alaska’s Aleutian Islands. Version 1.0 rebuilt Adak and added three islands:Adak, Akutan and Atka.

What’s included

  • The islands of Adak, Akutan and Atka.
  • Improved vegetation and ambient sounds (version 2.0).
  • Fixes for a country error that crashed the game and for the ferry (2.0.1), plus fixes for plates, the position on the UI map, traffic and a conflict with Alaska NTTF.

Compatibility and order

The author says it works with any mod map and that he tested it with the GMC Logistics combo map. He asks you to place it after Alaska NTTF and, if you use it, after the GMC traffic fix. The page doesn’t explain how to reach the islands; the changelog mentions the ferry.

Requirements

It requires 14 map DLCs: Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Arkansas.

Version

Version 4.0, released September 27, 2025, is for ATS 1.56 and only changes the manifest. There’s no confirmed version for 1.61. It has over 23,000 downloads.

How to install it

  1. Make sure you have the required map DLCs.
  2. Open the mod's page on TruckyMods and download the latest version (or use the Trucky client).
  3. Copy the .scs file to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
  4. In the Mod Manager, place it after Alaska NTTF and the GMC traffic fix, if you use them.
  5. Load your save and look for the route to the islands.
