ATS map mods

Here are 20 mods for American Truck Simulator maps: Reforma, the most complete Mexico map; Mapkalo, with the roads of Colombia; Coast to Coast, with the states that are still missing; and expansions into Canada and Alaska, plus their resources and compatibility patches. Almost all are free and up to date for 1.61, the stable version. Version 1.62 has been in open beta since October 20, 2026, and Reforma 3.0.1.161 isn't compatible with it yet: to play mod maps, stay on 1.61.

The best ATS maps to start with

• Reforma: expands the game into Mexico with states, cities and roads connected to the US. Needs Reforma Mega Resources and several map DLC.
• Reforma Mega Resources: Mexican models, signs and vegetation required by Reforma and its expansions. Version 3.0.1.161, with new Baja California resources.
• Mapkalo: a standalone map of Colombia, with its major cities and mountain stretches. Seven free files on its official website and a server for playing it online with MundoATS.
• Coast to Coast: Mantrid's big map with the states that neither the game nor the DLC cover. For 1.61 and designed to be used with all map DLC.
• Reforma Sierra Nevada: rebuilds Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Reno and California's mountain passes. From the Reforma team, for 1.61.
• Western Canada Expansion: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Requires all SCS map DLC.
• ProMods Canada: Vancouver, Vancouver Island and the Okanagan Valley. Version 1.6.4 for 1.61; needs Oregon and Washington.
• Reforma Other Maps Patch: the official patch for playing Reforma with Coast to Coast, ProMods Canada, ATS Expansion or CanaMania. Version 40.161, only on TruckyMods.

Before you install a map

• DLC: Reforma requires the paid western and central states (New Mexico, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa and Arkansas). Texas is key for the Piedras Negras and Nuevo Laredo border crossings; if a DLC is missing, the game usually crashes while loading. Mapkalo doesn't require any, according to its website.
• Load order: the map on top and its resources below (Reforma above Mega Resources). Combo patches go above all maps. Mapkalo's seven files go in the order shown on its website, with the update on top.
• Standalone maps: Mapkalo, Reforma Esterlon or Dalton and Elliot Hwy Extreme replace the map: use a new profile and don't mix them with other maps.
• Combos: each combination may need its own patch, like Project Better Arizona - Reforma Connection or the MUO/Reforma Compatibility Patch. Without them, you'll run into cut-off roads.
• Installation: subscribe on Steam Workshop or copy the file into DocumentsAmerican Truck Simulatormod and activate it in your profile's Mod Manager. Back up your profile before removing a map.

You'll find the step-by-step with DLC and exact order in how to install Reforma in ATS and how to install Mapkalo. To compare expansions and combos, see best maps for ATS.
