What this mod does
Coast to Coast, known as C2C, is one of the longest-running community maps for American Truck Simulator. Mantrid created it in 2016 and the idea is simple: fill in the rest of the continental United States that isn’t in the base game or the official DLCs yet, so you can haul loads all the way to the East Coast.
What it changes in the game
- Adds a huge network of highways and back roads across the missing states, with big cities and small towns.
- It keeps adapting to every new official DLC: when SCS releases a state, C2C removes or reconnects its own version of that area so it doesn’t clash with the official content.
- The latest versions include a fully rebuilt Louisiana, improvements in Texas and new scenery along I-95, with contributions from other mappers.
Who it’s for
For players who already own the map DLCs and want to keep heading east without waiting for SCS. It doesn’t match the level of detail of the official states everywhere, but it makes up for it in size. It combines well with other maps using the connection patches their authors release, for example the Reforma one for Mexico.
Version
Version 2.24.61.1, released on October 11, 2026, works with ATS 1.61 and adds support for the South Dakota DLC. The author forbids uploading the map to other websites, so only download it from his thread on the official SCS forum.

Highlights and things to keep in mind
- Covers a huge amount of territory the game doesn't have yet
- Constant maintenance: it keeps up with every game version and every new DLC
- Free and published on the official SCS forum
- Requires all official map DLCs
- Detail is uneven depending on the area
- Lots of copies circulate on unofficial websites the author hasn't authorized
Requirements
- American Truck Simulator 1.61
- All official map DLCs (the author requires them for recent versions)
- Enough disk space: it's a big map split into several files
How to install it
- Open the official Coast to Coast thread on the SCS forum and go to the first post.
- Follow the download link in the first post: Mantrid publishes the version 2.24.61.0 files on TruckyMods.
- Copy the .scs files into Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod without renaming them.
- In the Mod Manager, enable all the C2C files in the order given in the thread's first post.
- If you combine C2C with other maps, add their compatibility patches above C2C.
- Start with a new profile or with your truck in a base-game city to avoid loading errors.

Common problems
The game crashes when loading C2C
Usually a map DLC or a file from the pack is missing, or the load order isn't the one specified. Make sure all the files are the same version.
Does it work with Mexico (Reforma)?
Yes, if you install Reforma's compatibility patch for other maps and place it at the very top of the list.
Why did a state that C2C used to have disappear?
When SCS releases a DLC for that state, C2C removes its version to use the official one. You need that DLC to drive in that area.
