What this mod does
Western Canada Expansion extends the American Truck Simulator map northward with a road network across the western half of Canada. It’s made for anyone who has already driven the official states and wants to keep going beyond the Washington, Idaho and Montana border.
What it adds
- Six Canadian provinces and territories: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon and the Northwest Territories.
- Dozens of new cities with companies to load and unload at.
- US border crossings, welcome signs between provinces and ferry lines on the British Columbia coast.
- Upgradable garages and a farm in Peace River (Alberta) added in version 1.7.2.
Compatibility with other maps
The author says there are no known conflicts with the Reforma maps (Mexico and Sierra Nevada) and that connection mods exist for ProMods Canada, Coast to Coast with CanaMania, Discover North America, ATS Expansion and Alaska NTTF. It isn’t compatible with EMMN or with the Ontario and Quebec maps. If you want to go all the way to Alaska, the same author has Alaska Expansion, which works as an add-on to this map.
Version
Version 1.7.3 (September 15, 2026) fixes two bugs that appeared with 1.61 and recalculates the map. You need all SCS map DLC, including Illinois.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator 1.61 (the author states compatibility since 1.54)
- All SCS map DLC, from Arizona to Illinois
- The author's connection mods if you combine it with ProMods Canada, Coast to Coast or other maps
How to install it
- Open the Western Canada Expansion page on TruckyMods and download the latest version (1.7.3).
- Copy the .scs file to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- If you use other maps, also download the matching connection mod from the author's page.
- Launch the game, open the Mod Manager and enable the map (with the connection patches above it).
- Load your profile and head north from Washington, Idaho or Montana to cross into Canada.

Common problems
Does it work without all the DLC?
No. The author warns that the map needs all SCS map DLC to work.
Is it compatible with Reforma?
Yes, the author knows of no conflicts with the Reforma maps of Mexico and Sierra Nevada.
Can I use it with EMMN?
No. The author marks it as incompatible and recommends Discover North America instead.
