What this mod does
Alaska Expansion is the natural follow-up to Western Canada Expansion: with both maps active, you can keep driving northwest from Canada and cross into Alaska. It’s made by JacobKazias, the same author as the Canadian map, who describes it as a basic map whose goal is to extend ATS to that state.
What it adds
- Alaskan roads and cities connected to the Western Canada Expansion network.
- Canada–US border crossings, with welcome signs and flags (since version 1.1.0).
- Upgradable garages and revised ferry lines (version 1.2.0).
- Ferry connections to the Aleutian Islands and Petersburg Alaska maps, plus a connection mod for Alaska NTTF.
Important requirements
It doesn’t work on its own: you need Western Canada Expansion installed and loaded below Alaska Expansion in the Mod Manager. The author also warns that you need all SCS map DLC. It isn’t compatible with EMMN; if you want a map of the northern part of the continent, the author recommends Discover North America.
Version
Version 1.2.3 (September 15, 2026) recalculates the map for ATS 1.61. The author has released a new version with every game update since 1.58.

Requirements

How to install it
- Download Western Canada Expansion from its TruckyMods page if you don't have it yet.
- Open the Alaska Expansion page on TruckyMods and download version 1.2.3.
- Copy both .scs files to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- Open the Mod Manager and keep Alaska Expansion above Western Canada Expansion.
- If you use Aleutian Islands, Petersburg Alaska or Alaska NTTF, add the author's matching connection mod.
- Load your profile and drive toward northwestern Canada to cross into Alaska.

Can I use it without Western Canada Expansion?
No. The author releases it as an add-on and requires that map for it to work.
