What this mod does
No DeadEnds! is a mod by DaStrobel that removes the “DeadEnds” from American Truck Simulator maps: the roadblocks that close off dead-end roads or roads that lead nowhere. With the mod you can drive your truck through them. It has over 41,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.
What it does
- Removes the dead-end roadblocks from the map.
- Credits go to SCS and the author.
- It’s a very lightweight file, about 64 KB.
Compatibility with modded maps
The author warns that it doesn’t work on some maps, most likely because their creators use their own roadblocks instead of the SCS ones. On those maps the barriers will still be there.
Version
The page says it’s tested from 1.49 to 1.60. The latest update is from May 9, 2026. The author also has the sister mod Icons!, published separately.
Be careful
Roadblocks are usually where the road ends, so when you go past them you may end up outside the drivable area. If you get stuck, use the game’s towing service. The author forbids editing and reuploading it.

Requirements
- American Truck Simulator (the author confirms it up to 1.60)
- Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- No DLC or other mods required
How to install it
- Open the “No DeadEnds!” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Drive to a dead-end road: the roadblock will be gone.
Common problems
Does it work on every modded map?
No: some maps use their own roadblocks and it has no effect there.
Does it remove roadwork barriers?
The page only talks about dead-end roadblocks.
Can I edit it?
No, the author forbids editing and reuploading it.
