What this mod does
Best Motor Pack is a mod by Vontisz, an author who writes in Spanish, that makes the engines in American Truck Simulator’s stock trucks more realistic. Before the mod, according to the author, every engine put out 669 hp and 3,019 lb-ft and cut off at 2,120 rpm. It has almost 40,000 subscribers.
Engines it changes
- Caterpillar C15: 625 HP, 2,780 lb-ft and cutoff at 2,300 rpm.
- Cummins ISX Signature: 600 HP, 2,780 lb-ft and 2,300 rpm.
- Cummins N14 Celect Plus: 525 HP, 2,500 lb-ft and 2,100 rpm.
- Detroit Diesel Series 60: 515 HP, 1,850 lb-ft and 2,100 rpm.
On top of that, each engine has its own torque curve, adjusted operating ranges and an engine brake calibrated to the manufacturer’s specs. The author says they work without errors and with the right sound.
Version
The description says it works on the latest version of ETS2 and ATS, from 1.55 onward. In May 2024 the author said he had left it on 1.47, and on September 14, 2025 he announced it was updated to the latest version, without giving the number. One user says one of the K100 models has no sound. It’s about 36 MB.

Requirements

- Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
- No DLC or other mods required
How to install it
- Open the “Best Motor Pack” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Go to a service shop and change your truck's engine to see the new values.
