What this mod does
Extended Traffic Signal Timing & Phases is a mod by TGModz that lengthens and reorders the traffic light cycles in American Truck Simulator. In the base game they change too quickly, especially at big intersections, and with a high-density mod you get queues that never move.
What it changes
- Longer greens for through traffic: around 30 seconds.
- Longer protected left turns, about 20 seconds, which trigger before the through green when the intersection allows it.
- Yellows of roughly 5 seconds.
- More natural transitions between phases, better sync between opposing signals and less dead time between one red and the next green.
Exact timings depend on each intersection and the signal profile the map uses.
Compatibility
The author doesn’t guarantee compatibility with other mods that change signal profiles or definitions. If you use one of those, keep only one active or order them according to which one you want to take priority. It’s a good companion for density mods like Real Traffic Density.
Support
It was released on October 13, 2026, with 1.61 already out, although the author doesn’t list a version. He only answers questions on his Discord server and asks that the mod not be reuploaded.

Common problems
How long is the green?
About 30 seconds for through traffic and about 20 for the protected left turn, depending on the intersection.
Is it compatible with RealRoads SignalFlow Plus or other traffic light mods?
The author doesn't guarantee it: if both touch the signals, the one higher up wins.
Is there an ETS2 version?
Not for now, according to the author.
