What this mod does
International 9400I is a truck by SgtRox for American Truck Simulator. It recreates the third generation of the International 9400, a line that began in 1980, as built from the early 2000s through 2011. It has almost 43,000 subscribers.
What’s included
- Lots of customizable parts: bumpers, chassis, side skirts, beacons, grilles, deflectors and interior trim.
- Engines, transmissions and some parts come from the SCS International 9900i; the author built almost all the accessories from scratch.
- A simple, tough work truck, with no chrome or flashy lights. The author recommends it for beginners or fans of 2000s style.
Optional extras
On the author’s Patreon there are free compatibility mods for SlavJerry’s engines and Kriechbaum’s Engine Sound Mega Pack 4.2, plus paint templates.
Version and issues
The description doesn’t state a game version. The latest update is from January 14, 2025. In the comments, one user says the game crashed when entering an International dealer, and others are asking for a 1.60 update with no reply from the author. It’s about 435 MB.

How to install it
- Open the “International 9400I” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Find the truck at the International dealer.
