What this mod does
Kenworth W990 by Harven: Enhancements is an add-on by Eddie Yantz for the Kenworth W990 edited by Harven (Frank Peru) in American Truck Simulator. It isn’t a truck: it needs that mod installed and adds interior and exterior details to it. It has over 16,000 subscribers.
What’s included
- Color-coded AUTO/MANUAL indicator that’s easier to read.
- The new hood ornaments from SCS’s W900.
- The eight-point compass from PIVA’s onboard computer, released for the T680 and adapted by the author.
- Frank Peru’s flying dragon hood ornament (the «deflector»).
- More travel when you lean out the window and in the mouse-controlled cab views, inspired by SystemSoldier X.
- The engine brake icon changes from green to orange.
Version and requirements
The description doesn’t list a game version. In the comments, the author replied «yes» when asked whether it worked on 1.53 (January 2025) and on 1.54 (April 2025). The latest update is from July 22, 2025. Since then, several players have asked about 1.55 and 1.56 without an answer.
Known issues
In October 2024 a player reported that it failed on 1.52, and the author said he would look into it. If it gives you errors on 1.61, check your game.log with Holyfix.

How to install it
- Open the "Kenworth W990 by Harven: Enhancements" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Also subscribe to Harven's Kenworth W990 and enable it.
- Buy or configure the W990 at a service shop and pick the new parts.
