What this mod does
Kenworth T680 Next Gen Improved Dashboard is a mod by Knights Gaming that expands the information on the digital dashboard and the infotainment screen of SCS’s next-generation T680. It has almost 23,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.
What it adds
- Low beam and retarder icons.
- The truck’s estimated range and the fuel left in the tank, also as a percentage.
- Left and right blind-spot indicators.
- Logos on the screens.
- On the infotainment screen: “Always On Display” mode, a “MirrorCam” page, a “MirrorCam” page with GPS and a reworked GPS page.
Requirements and version
It’s for the T680 Next Gen, which SCS sells as DLC (Kenworth T680 2022). Version 1.8, from September 17, 2026, adds support for the 1.61 update. It’s about 8 MB.
Things to keep in mind
The author warns that using digital and regular mirrors at the same time lowers performance on the new trucks, and clarifies that it’s a game engine limitation. One user says that, combined with “Screen Information Projection” or “Tjs ATS HD GPS,” the clock freezes at 00:00, so don’t combine them.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe.”
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Go to your profile's Mod Manager and enable “Kenworth T680 Next Gen Improved Dashboard.”
- Load your save and get into your T680 Next Gen.
- Switch pages on the infotainment screen to see the mirror cam, the GPS and the “Always On Display” mode.

Common problems
Does it work on the older T680?
No, it's for the SCS T680 Next Gen (Kenworth T680 2022 DLC).
The clock is stuck at 00:00
One user blames combining it with “Screen Information Projection” or “Tjs ATS HD GPS”; disable those mods.
