What this mod does
Local Police Traffic is a traffic mod by BenBen with a clear goal: giving every American Truck Simulator city its own local patrol car. For now it adds one per city and, later on, the author wants to add variety where it’s needed.
States covered
- 13 states at 100 % (194 cities): Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
- Oklahoma is the work of neptuneh01.
- It also changes the liveries in cities that already had an SCS city police car, so texture quality is consistent.
- It’s progressing from west to east; state police will come once the cities are covered.
Requirements and compatibility
It needs Generic Police Removal, by Hoang Sean, which must sit above all your other mods. According to the author, it should also be compatible with Davy Crockett’s Extra City Police Vehicles, so you can combine both for more variety.
Version
The latest update is from September 11, 2026, back in the 1.60 days, and the author doesn’t list a version. It’s a hobby project: the author asks for patience and takes livery and agency suggestions in the comments.

How to install it
- Subscribe to Generic Police Removal and Local Police Traffic on Steam Workshop.
- Launch ATS and enable both mods in the Mod Manager.
- Place Generic Police Removal at the very top, above any other mod.
- If you also use Extra City Police Vehicles, enable it below Generic Police Removal.
- Load your profile and drive through cities in the covered states to see the patrol cars.
