What this mod does
ATS Clean Traffic No Default SCS Trailers is the American Truck Simulator version of Kass’s mod that you already have in ETS2 as Clean Traffic No Default SCS Trailers. It does one very specific thing: it removes almost all default SCS trailers from AI traffic, so the trucks you pass are pulling trailers from your third-party packs.
What it’s for
- More variety and realism if you use trailer packs with real companies.
- Fewer of the same old trailers over and over.
- According to the author, it’s optimized so it doesn’t hurt performance.
Must-have requirement
You need at least one AI trailer pack enabled or the mod won’t work. Kass recommends packs with real companies; on Holymod you’ll find ATS Traffic Trailer Mega Pack and Mr Larrington’s pack.
Installation and warnings
Place it below your trailer mods in the Mod Manager. Enabling it resets the economy and cancels your current job, so finish your delivery first. It pairs well with Brutal Traffic, by the same author. Version 2.1 (September 17, 2026) is for ATS 1.61 and is downloaded from the author’s website.

- Download 2.1 from the button in the official thread, which takes you to brutaluniverse.com.
- Copy the .scs to Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod.
- In the Mod Manager, place it below your AI trailer packs.
