What this mod does
Paccar MX-13 Stock sound is a sound mod by SlavJerry for American Truck Simulator. It recreates the stock sound of the Paccar MX-13 engine, in 405 to 510 hp ratings and with a diesel particulate filter (DPF), for Kenworth and Peterbilt. It has almost 20,000 subscribers.

Credits
According to the page, SCS Software provided the sound samples and SlavJerry did the mixing and mastering. It works on SCS trucks and modded trucks.
Version
The description doesn’t list a version. On August 16, 2026, when a player asked whether it worked on 1.60, the author said yes and that he’d used it the day before. The file was last updated on August 15, 2025.
Player requests
There are requests to make it work on the Cascadia 125, the Cascadia XL, Jon Ruda’s Peterbilt 579 Next Gen and 362, and the Kenworth K100E. Players also ask for a straight pipe version. One player said in 2024 that the fan is barely audible. It’s about 2 MB.

How to install it
- Open the "Paccar MX-13 Stock sound" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Go to a service shop and fit the Paccar MX-13 engine on your Kenworth or Peterbilt.
