Adds the sound of the A/C and heater inside the cab, with fan speeds that change on their own, a pause when you open the window and a reaction to rain. Free on Steam.

What this mod does

Realistic Air-Condition/Heating Automatic Sound, by Ventyres, adds something hardly anyone misses until they hear it: the blowing of the A/C and heater inside the cab. It’s available for ETS2 and ATS.

How it works

  • In normal mode it randomly cycles between low, medium and high speed and a pause.
  • When you open the window the cycle stops; when you close it, it starts again.
  • When it starts raining, the heater goes up to medium or high speed depending on how hard it rains, and stays there.
  • If you open the windows while it’s raining, it drops one level; when you close them, it goes back up.
  • When the rain stops, automatic mode returns.

Compatibility

It works on all base game trucks and on modded trucks that don’t come with their own aerodynamic or rain sound.

Known issues

The most common complaint in the comments is the volume: several users find it too loud and say it drowns out other cab noises, and one says it keeps playing with the truck turned off. Another disables it because he uses a soundproofing mod.

Version

It was released on December 5, 2025 and updated the following day, during the ATS 1.57 era. The author doesn’t list a game version, and a user confirms it works on 1.58.
