What this mod does
Mack E9 V8 Straight Pipe Sound puts Mack’s V8, the E9, with a straight pipe exhaust into community-made classic Macks. It’s the work of Slav Jerry, and some commenters consider it one of the best V8 sounds they’ve heard in the game.

The author warns that it’s not compatible with SCS’s Macks (Anthem and Pinnacle) without editing the truck’s .def files.

How to install it
- Open the “Mack E9 V8 Straight pipe sound” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish downloading the mod.
- In your profile's Mod Manager, enable “Mack E9 V8 Straight pipe sound”.
- Have one of the compatible modded Macks installed and enabled.
- Go to a service shop and fit the E9 V8 engine (with electric or air start).
