No, BeamNG.drive isn’t on PS4, Xbox or Nintendo Switch, and no versions have been announced for any of them. Officially you can only play it on PC and, since October 19, 2026, on PS5, in early access. In its FAQ, BeamNG says it can’t confirm whether it will come to other platforms in the future. Any «BeamNG drive PS4», «BeamNG Xbox» or «BeamNG Switch» you see online is a video recorded on PC, a different crash game or an outright scam.

BeamNG.drive on PS4
It doesn’t exist and no plans have been announced. The official console release date announcement, posted on beamng.com on September 24, 2026, only mentions PS5, and the PlayStation Store listing only shows that platform. A PS4 can’t run PS5 games either, so the PS5 version, available since October 19, won’t help you if you only have a PS4.
BeamNG hasn’t explained why it’s leaving out the PS4. It has said that bringing its soft-body physics engine to PS5 took a lot of optimization work. That engine calculates in real time how every part of the car deforms, and on PC it already demands a powerful processor, as you can see in the BeamNG.drive system requirements.
BeamNG.drive on Xbox One and Xbox Series
It doesn’t exist there either. In its FAQ, BeamNG only talks about PS5 and says it can’t confirm whether other platforms will be supported. It’s not on the Microsoft Store for Xbox or on Game Pass.
What about cloud gaming on Xbox? BeamNG.drive works on GeForce NOW if you own it on Steam, but NVIDIA doesn’t include Xbox consoles in its list of supported devices. It’s not in the Xbox Cloud Gaming catalog either. Right now there’s no official way to play it on an Xbox.
BeamNG.drive on Nintendo Switch
There’s no version for Switch or Switch 2, and no announcement. You won’t find BeamNG.drive on the eShop. If you see a crash game with a similar name, it’s from another studio.
Watch out for fake versions
Searching for «beamng drive ps4» or «beamng drive xbox one» turns up lots of misleading results:
- YouTube or TikTok videos with titles like «BeamNG on PS4» that are actually recorded on PC or show a different game.
- Crash games from other studios on console or mobile stores that use BeamNG screenshots or its name to drive sales. The official BeamNG forum has been warning about this kind of misleading advertising for years.
- «Download» or «free code» sites for consoles. They don’t exist: they ask for personal data, surveys or suspicious downloads.
If in doubt, check the game’s publisher on the store and the official website, beamng.com. If a console version isn’t listed there, it’s not official.

There’s nothing quite like it on console, but there are games with realistic crashes and deformation:
- Wreckfest (Bugbear): demolition racing with a very detailed damage system. It’s on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. It’s the closest in how crashes feel. Its sequel, Wreckfest 2, is PC-only for now, in early access.
