What this mod does
Ibishu Optima / Tenghui Liya is emokaoxiang123’s first mod, and it starts from the first-generation Ibishu Pessima. According to its backstory, the Optima is a 1990 facelift for Asian markets, used as a police car and taxi and almost always right-hand drive. The Tenghui Liya is its Chinese version, built by a fictional brand that bought the production line in 1993.
What’s included
- Chinese police liveries, plus Macau police and taxi liveries.
- Full right-hand-drive variants and early and late series bodies, with different rear windows.
- Selectable grilles and a new DX, LX and EX trim structure.
- A 1.2-liter three-cylinder diesel and, since 1.31, a 2.7-liter V6.
- Rally and custom configs with added parts.
Compatibility
Version 1.31 is from September 7, 2026, and the author still considers it in testing, so they ask you to report bugs. They acknowledge rough details, UV mapping issues and small imperfections in the models and JBeam. The mod page doesn’t mention Career mode or multiplayer.
Tips
The author recommends the Chinese License Plates mod to complete the atmosphere. If you’re into ’90s Asian cars or police and taxi fleets, it’s an unusual pick.

How to install it
- Open the Ibishu Optima / Tenghui Liya page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, look for Ibishu Optima or Tenghui Liya and pick a config.
