What this mod does

Dark Markerlights is a mod by kuramochia that adds small black-base lights (marker lights) to decorate your truck. It has more than 40,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.

What’s included

• Marker lights with 1, 3, 6 and 9 LEDs in white, orange, red, blue and green.
• Orange works as position and turn signal, red as position and brake, white only as reverse, and blue as daytime running light.
• 3-LED beacons in orange, blue and green.
• The 9-LED one comes in a normal version, with fewer flares so it doesn’t hurt performance, and a “Resource-Heavy” one with all the flares, flashier but more demanding.
• Lollipop-style marker lights with a dark or colored front and a long or short arm; the orange ones can be position-only or position plus turn signal.
• For9T Scale, Gravity, For9T Spanish and Geo models in orange, red, white and combinations.
• As a bonus, a red sweeping strobe.

Version

The author marks it as compatible with ETS2 1.53 to 1.62 and updates it often: the latest version is from October 23, 2026. It’s about 5.8 MB. The description is in Japanese and doesn’t mention any DLC or load order.

How to install it

1. Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe.”
2. Wait for Steam to finish downloading it.
3. Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
4. Enable “Dark Markerlights[1.53-1.62]” and load your save.
5. Take your truck to a service shop and look for the new marker lights in the small lights sections.
6. Pick the model, color and function for each light.

Common problems
