What this mod does
Scania 2016 with Rear Window is a mod by kuramochia that adds a rear cab window to SCS’s Scania S and R 2016, an option that exists on the real truck.
What’s included
- Exterior: no window, window, or window with vinyl.
- Interior: curtain open or closed, selected in the rear interior light slot.
- UK interior (right-hand drive) with a km/h speedometer.
- Steering wheel tilt animation in the EU and UK versions, with left- or right-hand drive.
- You can customize the vinyl and darken the tint by editing its .dds textures.
Compatibility
It overwrites the Scania 2016’s interior and exterior models, so it can’t be used with other mods that change those models or their animations. If you also use “UK Interior KPH Speedometer,” put this mod above it. The side windows use a transparent texture; to add vinyl to them, you need another mod that the author links.
Version
The author marks it for ETS2 1.60 to 1.62 and last updated it on October 23, 2026. It’s about 36.9 MB, doesn’t require any DLC and has more than 20,000 subscribers.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe.”
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading it.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable “Scania 2016 with Rear Window[1.60-1.62]” and load your save.
- Take your Scania S or R 2016 to a service shop.
- Pick the rear window under the exterior options and the curtain in the rear interior light slot.

How do I open or close the curtain?
