What this mod does
Konstantinidis Open Pipe V8, by w3tto (M. Yıldız), is a straight-pipe sound mod for V8 engines in Euro Truck Simulator 2. According to the author, it uses real sounds from Konstantinidis’s Scania R950. It has over 83,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.
What’s included
- Straight-pipe V8 engine sound with realistic engine options.
- Three air brake sounds, air on gear shifts and a valve («ventil») that sounds on its own at low revs.
- Three cabin horns: ship, whistle and train.
- Four blow-off valve (BOV) sounds.
- Scania retarder and exhaust brake with air, reverse and interior sounds.
- Adjustable sound distance.
Compatibility and load order
The author says it’s compatible with RJL’s Scanias, Eugene’s Scania NG and BC’s MAN TGX 2020, as well as RJL’s T and T4 series. He asks you to remove any other sound mods (his own included) and give it high priority in the Mod Manager. It supports Convoy mode.
Version
The last update is from June 19, 2024, and the author doesn’t state a game version. If anything breaks on 1.61, Holyfix will warn you when it analyzes your game.log.

How to install it
- Open the “Konstantinidis Open Pipe V8 by M. Yıldız” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Disable other sound mods and place this one above the rest in the Mod Manager.
- Go to the service shop with a compatible truck and fit the mod's engine or exhaust.
Common problems
Can I use it with other sound mods?
No: the author asks you to remove other sound mods, including his own.
