What this mod does
Scania V8 “Visch B.V.” Open Pipe is a sound mod by w3tto (M. Yıldız) for Euro Truck Simulator 2. It replaces the sound of Scania V8 engines with an open pipe exhaust, using the Scania R650 of Dutch company Visch B.V. as its reference. It has over 33,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.

Compatible trucks
Next-gen Scania R and S, RJL’s Scania R and T, the 2004 to 2018 PGR series, and SCS’s Scania R, S and R Streamline. It works with the stock V8 engines and with the old generation DC16s.
Version and known issues
The last update is from June 9, 2025, and the author doesn’t state the game version. If you can’t hear the sound, disable your other sound mods and put this one at the very top of the Mod Manager. One user says it works fine on 1.57, but not with the new 770 hp engine.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- Place it at the very top and disable other sound mods.
- Drive a Scania with a V8 engine to hear the new sound.
