What this mod does
Scania V8 Straight Open Pipe by M. Yıldız is a sound mod by w3tto with the roar of an old-school straight open pipe. According to the author, the sound comes from a Scania G «Douglas» R620 timber truck.
What’s included
- Exhaust that opens and closes while driving.
- Engine samples for new- and old-generation V8s.

How to turn it on
Hold the headlight flasher (J) for one second, release and press it once more. To close it, hold the flasher for two seconds.
Compatibility
It works with RJL’s Scania R/T/R4/T4, the Scania PGR 2004-2018, the Next-Generation R and S, the SCS Scania R and S and the R Streamline, with the stock engines and with the old DC16s on the new-generation V8. If you don’t hear it, disable other sound mods and move it to the very top.
Version and issues
The author doesn’t state a game version; he published it on June 9, 2025. One user says it wasn’t working for him on 1.61 on October 19, 2026, and another complains about the noise when shifting gears. Several ask about JUseeTV’s Scania PGR, with no answer.
