What this mod does
RADAR-DETECTOR is a mod by Garage-J1 that adds a radar detector to Euro Truck Simulator 2’s trucks. It warns you when you approach a speed camera, and it has over 91,000 subscribers.
What’s included
- Alerts for speed cameras, tolls, weigh stations, detours and railroad crossings.
- Voice alerts for accidents and roadworks.
- Detector model for the windshield on every SCS truck, from the accessories.
- All speed cameras flash red.
- Language packs, including a Spanish one.
It works on the base map, Scandinavia, Going East!, Vive la France !, Italia, Beyond the Baltic Sea, Road to the Black Sea, Iberia, West Balkans, Greece, Nordic Horizons and ProMods. You adjust the volume with the game’s music control.
Installation
For every alert to work you need to install a fix that the author links on Modsfire, in two versions: with police fines or without them. It goes in Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod. One user suggests this order, from top to bottom: language pack, fix and radar.
Version
The latest version fixes road textures that were disappearing and adds the detector to the Volvo FH6 100th Year Edition. The page doesn’t list the game version.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the mod page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Also subscribe to the language pack you want; the Spanish one is linked on the page.
- Download the fix from the Modsfire link in the description (with or without fines) and copy it to Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/mod.
- In the Mod Manager, sort from top to bottom: language, fix and radar.
- At the service shop, place the detector on the windshield from the accessories.
Common problems
I can't hear the alerts
Turn up the game's music volume and check that you have the fix and the language pack.
Is there a Spanish version?
Yes, there's a Spanish language pack by the same author.
Does it work with ProMods?
Yes, according to the author.
