What this mod does
Marine Relay Air Ship Horn is a sound mod published by iboScaletta (the description is signed ARIKAN) that replaces the air horn with the deep sound of a ship horn. It works with every vehicle in the game, including DLC ones, and the file weighs just over half a megabyte.
How to use it
- Enable the mod, get in your truck and press the N key (air horn).
- If your truck doesn’t have an air horn, go to a service shop and fit any one: the mod changes the sound.
Version
The description says it works with all vehicles on 1.58.X and has been tested on that version. In February 2026 the author also replied that he plays on 1.57 without issues. The latest update is from February 12, 2026. There’s an unanswered question about 1.59.
If there’s no sound
The author recommends closing the game, deleting the Cache folder and the old backup folders (.bak) inside Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2, and trying again. You can see errors in the game console.
Feedback
According to several players, it sounds almost like the real thing. One user says it stops working two minutes after loading into the game, with no fix posted. The source of the recording isn’t stated.

Requirements

- An air horn fitted on the truck
How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click Subscribe.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable the mod.
- If your truck doesn't have an air horn, fit one at the service shop.
- While driving, press N to sound the horn.
