What this mod does
Pardubak’s Longer Yellow is a long-running mod by Pardubák that changes just one thing, but you’ll really notice it behind the wheel: the amber phase of Euro Truck Simulator 2 traffic lights now lasts 4 seconds. With a loaded truck, that margin is the difference between braking calmly and running a red light at the intersection.
What it changes
It only extends the amber phase of traffic lights. It’s a small file, about 328 KB, and the author doesn’t list any requirements or DLC.
Version and compatibility
It was released in August 2020 and the author keeps it up to date: the latest update, from September 18, 2026, is the one for version 1.61. It’s only for the game’s base map (vanilla); the author doesn’t state compatibility with ProMods or other maps.
Load order
It must have the highest priority in the Mod Manager, above any mod that changes map definitions.
Known issues
The author admitted in 2022 that the change didn’t apply equally at every intersection, and a user commented in 2024 that on the Iberia map some traffic lights went straight from green to red. Even so, it’s one of the best-rated traffic mods on the Workshop, with over 15,000 subscribers and 336 ratings.

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish downloading.
- Launch ETS2 and open the Mod Manager.
- Enable “Pardubak's Longer Yellow” and move it to the very top, above any map mod.
- Load your save and check the amber phase at the first traffic light.
