What this mod does
Modern Garages Mod is a mod by Frkn64, author of Realistic Truck Physics and Realistic Vehicle Lights, that changes the look of the garages on the old Euro Truck Simulator 2 map. It has over 210,000 subscribers.
What changes
It replaces the old-looking garages on the original map with modern garages in the style of those in the Scandinavia DLC. It doesn’t change what garages do: only their model on the map.
Version
The mod version is 1.5. The author says «1.57 only», meaning only for game version 1.57. The Steam file is from October 24, 2021; the author also links his page on modsy.io.
What players say
- Several players say it works on 1.54, 1.56 and 1.57; one reports a crash near Bodø on 1.57.
- Another says it doesn’t work for them on 1.60.
If you’re on a version later than 1.57 and the game crashes, try disabling it and check the log with Holyfix.
Requirements
The page doesn’t require any DLC. It’s free and about 12 MB. The author separately offers a paid «Mod Pass» for other mods of his, which you don’t need for this one.

How to install it
- Open the “Modern Garages Mod v1.5 (by Frkn64)” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Launch Euro Truck Simulator 2 and wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Open your profile's Mod Manager, enable the mod and confirm the changes.
- Visit a city with a garage on the old map to see the change.
