The best combine harvester mods for Farming Simulator 25 cover every farm size: the small New Holland TX 32 to get started, the CLAAS Tucano 550-580 and the CLAAS Lexion 600-700 for the mid-range, and the John Deere S7/S5 with up to 625 hp for large-scale grain. For forage, the CLAAS Jaguar 990-930 forage harvester stands out. They’re all free on ModHub and almost all of them also work on PS5, Xbox Series and Switch 2. Below we compare them by power, grain tank and headers, and suggest the equipment that rounds out your harvest: wide headers, mowers, windrowers, balers and olive harvesting.
Before you pick a combine
- Your field size. A huge machine on small fields wastes time on headlands and farm roads. For maps with small fields, a mid-size combine is a better fit.
- Headers. Not every mod includes them. The John Deere S7/S5 don’t come with one, so you’ll need one from the game or another mod.
- Header trailers. With wide headers, a trailer for road travel is a good idea. Several mods in this guide already include one.
- Optional DLC. On several combines, the cameras or working instrument panels require the Mercedes-Benz DLC. Without it, the machine works just the same.
- Platform. Check the mod page: the CLAAS Lexion 500 is on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, but not on Switch 2.

For getting started or small fields
New Holland TX 32
A classic 155 hp, 25 km/h combine by Puszkap, ideal for starting a savegame or for maps with small fields. It’s one of the most-rated combines on ModHub. Version 2 redid the rims and added wide tires and the 4.5 m header. It doesn’t come with a corn header: the author recommends one from another mod.
CLAAS Lexion 500 Series
The series CLAAS built between 2003 and 2009, by EED123. The 510 to 560 models suit medium-size farms, and the 570 to 600 go up to 493 hp. It includes four Vario headers, header trailers and Michelin tires. The latest versions improved the harvesting AI and fixed the wheels sinking into the ground that came with patch 1.19. It doesn’t need any other mods.
Mid-range: the ones you see most in Spanish fields
CLAAS Tucano 550-580
Kalderone recreates the 2019 to 2023 models of a combine that’s very common in Spain. He put care into the lights, physics and real-world values, and the cab has three interactive screens with work hours, fuel consumption and engine temperature. It supports Real-GPS, Interactive Control and Dashboard Live. It comes with a grain header and a corn header.
CLAAS Lexion 600-700 Series
From the same author as the Lexion 500, it completes the family with the Lexion 620-670 and 750-770, four Vario headers from 6.6 to 10.5 m and their trailers. It integrates Interactive Control plus rear, pipe and hitch cameras. Version 1.0.1.2, from September 2026, improved behavior with AI workers.
Big combines for large-scale grain
John Deere S7/S5
Brazilian modder Agro Tonho brings three machines: the S5 500 (320 hp), the S7 600-700 (382 to 460 hp) and the S7 800-850-900 (547 to 625 hp), all at 40 km/h. Version 1.1.0.0 added bigger grain tanks, dual wheels for the large S7 and an extended unloading pipe for wide headers. You need a separate header.
Lizard Colossus Pack
The Lizard Colossus Pack is in a league of its own: fictional machines with exaggerated dimensions, including a grain combine from 900 to 3,000 hp and headers up to 15.2 m. It includes root crop, cotton, grape and olive harvesters, a forage harvester, balers and giant trailers. Since 2.0, working speed can be set in the shop to realistic or exaggerated values. It’s over 240 MB, and before updating to 2.0 you have to sell the 21 machines the author lists.
Wide headers
The MacDon FD2 Pack + Demco Trailer Pack, by modder Hispano, brings five MacDon FD2 FlexDraper headers from 13 to 19.2 m, starting at $115,600, and a Demco trailer for each width. A 19-meter header cuts down the number of passes a lot in wheat, barley or canola. Pair it with a powerful combine, like the large John Deere S7, whose extended unloading pipe is designed for wide headers.
Forage harvesters and the forage chain
The CLAAS Jaguar 990-930, by Despo93, is one of the most downloaded forage harvesters on ModHub: up to 925 hp, $358,500 and ORBIS 750 and 900 corn headers. You need at least two forage trailers running alongside it. For grass, these mods complete the chain:
- Mowing: Pöttinger Novacat A10 + 301, which together mow more than 13 meters per pass, or the CLAAS DISCO Pack (3.6 m front and 10 m rear).
- Windrowing: Kuhn MergeMaxx 950, an official GIANTS 9.5 m belt merger.
- Collecting: the forage harvester with trailers, the 43,000-liter Krone ZX 470 GD loader wagon (needs 240 hp) or a baler.
If you make straw, the Pack Of Balers With Windrower attaches a windrower to eight square balers so you can rake and bale in a single pass.
Olives and special crops
- Olives + Olive Picker: by Andalusian team VSR Modding Sur, large olive trees you can plant anywhere and an umbrella tree shaker with a 1,550-liter tank. After planting, save and restart so the olive trees get collision.
- Olive Harvest Trailer: traditional hand harvesting into wooden crates, 1,500 liters. You have to move the olives to a trailer before selling them.
- Narrow Vines And Olives: vines and olive trees with 2 or 2.5 m row spacing to fit more rows per field.
If you’re looking for maps with olive groves, check out the guide to Spanish maps and mods for FS25.
Which combine to choose for your farm
- New savegame with little money: New Holland TX 32 or a Lexion 510-560. They’re the cheapest in the comparison.
- Mid-size grain and corn farm: CLAAS Tucano 550-580, which comes with a grain header and a corn header, or a Lexion 600-700.
- Large acreage: John Deere S7 800-900 with a MacDon FD2 and its Demco trailer, plus a truck to empty the grain tank.
- Livestock and biogas: CLAAS Jaguar for silage corn, and the Novacat, MergeMaxx and Krone ZX chain for grass.
- Mediterranean olive grove: Olives + Olive Picker on a map with an olive oil mill, or Olive Harvest Trailer if you prefer harvesting by hand.
- Playing fast without complications: Lizard Colossus Pack with exaggerated speed turned on.
Harvesting tips with mods
- Unload without stopping. With grain tanks over 15,000 liters, a trailer or truck alongside saves trips. To haul grain long distances, check out the trailers section.
- AI workers. According to the author of the Lizard Colossus Pack, hired workers are still limited by the game to 26 km/h, even if the machine can go faster. On PC, CoursePlay automates harvesting with unloading into trailers.
- Updates. After a game patch, some combines have needed fixes, like the wheel sinking from patch 1.19. Keep your mods up to date from ModHub.
- Multiplayer. All players need the same mods and versions as the host.

Frequently asked questions
What’s the best combine harvester mod for Farming Simulator 25?
For most farms, the CLAAS Tucano 550-580 or the Lexion 600-700 offer the best balance between size and capacity. If you grow grain on a large scale, the John Deere S7 800-900 with a MacDon header is the most powerful combination while sticking to real machines.
Do they work on PS5, Xbox and Switch 2?
All the combines and equipment in this guide are on the console ModHub, except CoursePlay, which is PC only. The CLAAS Lexion 500 Series isn’t listed for Switch 2.
Do I need the Mercedes-Benz DLC?
No. On the Tucano, the Lexions and the John Deeres it only affects the cameras or the working instrument panels. The combine works without it.
Which combine do I use for corn?
The Tucano includes the CORIO 875 FC header for grain corn. For corn silage you need a forage harvester, like the CLAAS Jaguar with its ORBIS headers.
Can I harvest olives in Farming Simulator 25?
Yes. With Olives + Olive Picker you get large olive trees and an umbrella tree shaker, and with Olive Harvest Trailer you get hand harvesting into crates.
