The best production and building mods for Farming Simulator 25 are the Production Points Pack, which brings twelve factories from FS22, the PlanET Modular BGA for building your biogas plant piece by piece, gardens like the Open Air Garden and selling points like Sell Everything. For livestock and storage, the standouts are the barns from Dutch Modding Inc., the Silos Multi Fruit and the sheds from the Modding Association. Below you’ll find them by type, with what they produce, what they consume and what they cost in the game. They’re all free and work on PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2.
This guide goes deeper into the buildings that only got a brief mention in our list of the best Farming Simulator 25 mods. You’ll find more in the FS25 buildings directory.
Before you place mod buildings
- They can be placed on any map. They’re placeables: you buy them in build mode and put them on land you own, usually flat. Check the dimensions on the mod page before you buy a plot.
- They have upkeep. Almost all of them charge a daily or monthly cost, whether you use them or not. We list it when the mod page gives it.
- There’s a production cap. According to the author of the PlanET Modular BGA, the game limits productions to 60.
- Consoles. Everything in this guide is on the ModHub for PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. More details in Farming Simulator 25 on consoles.
- Prices. They’re in-game money, in dollars as on the ModHub; your savegame shows them in its own currency.

- Production Points Pack (Puma 145). Bakery, dairy and spinnery (in EU and US versions), carpentry, grain mill, oil mill, sugar mill, raisin factory and tailor shop. Ideal if your map has few production chains. The mod page doesn’t list the recipes: check them in the production menu once you place them. It’s almost 110 MB.
- Windmill (The Lort). A windmill that grinds grain, extracts sugar from sugar beets or sugarcane and, since 1.1, presses oil from sunflowers, canola, olives and rice. It also comes with a generator mill ($30,000) that earns about $100 per hour. It’s under 3 MB.
- Open Air Garden (OmaTana). Outdoor gardens in three sizes plus two urban ones, with 17 crops, from lettuce to olives. The manure you unload turns into fertilizer and, since 1.0.0.2, so do slurry, digestate and liquid fertilizer. Rated 4.8 with almost a thousand votes.
- Garden Plot (DS-Power). A garden with two versions: one uses manure and the other fertilizer. It produces tomatoes, strawberries, napa cabbage, garlic, lettuce, spring onions and chili peppers without building a greenhouse.
- Small Heating Plant (Redphoenix). A small 5,000-liter Heizomat boiler for $48,000. It’s more decoration than business, and the mod page doesn’t say what fuel it uses.
Energy: biogas and wind
- PlanET Modular BGA (Kastor). You buy each piece separately: bunker ($56,000 to $125,000), fermenter ($165,000 to $295,000), liquid digester for slurry, a 2-million-liter digestate storage and generators. You can start small and keep expanding. Since 1.0.0.2 the bunker also accepts clover, alfalfa, grass, straw, potatoes and sugar beets.
- Medium Biogas Plant Package (RLSF-Modding). Two closed plants of 400 kW ($900,000) and 750 kW ($1,250,000). Useful if you grow a lot of potatoes.
- Wind Turbine Package (Razak). Four wind turbines, from $960,000 to $3,500,000. They pay out every hour depending on the wind, from $0 when it’s calm up to each model’s maximum.
Selling and buying points
- Sell Everything (Schultz Modding). For $1,000 it buys crops, bales, logs, factory products and leftover seed or fertilizer. Since 1.0.0.1 it no longer accepts animals.
- Agricultural Fair (Chenben). A $25,000 farm fair that buys almost everything, including properly categorized products from other mods.
- Village Shop ([LSMT] FalPos). A village shop for $45,000 and $50 a day. The mod page doesn’t say what it accepts: check its menu.
- Buying Slurry Manure And Lime (BartsoNv3). Points for buying manure, slurry and lime right next to your fields, without keeping animals.
Barns and livestock
Cows
- Cow Barn Big With LIZARD Mixfeeder (Kastor). 500 cows and an automatic rail-mounted mixer that prepares the ration with silage, hay, straw and minerals. $715,000.
- Cowshed 3+3, Cowshed 3+0 and Cowshed Pack ([DMI]20mmNormandy). Barns for 200, 80 and 70 or 140 cows, with a central feeding alley.
- Big White Cow Barn and Building Farm Set (RajotGPLAY). Eastern European-style cattle farms, with milking, a silo and a manure heap, or with matching garages.
- Lizard Calf Huts (MrHector). Hutches for raising calves outdoors, for 1 or 5 animals, from $500.
Pigs
- Ivoy Piggery (MA7Studio). 32 pigs for $51,000: the cheap way to get started with pigs.
- Pigshed (two classic pigsties for 170 and 250 pigs) and Pigshed (a modern barn for 275), both by [DMI]20mmNormandy.
- Modern Pigsty (Katsuo). 460 pigs, with solar panels that generate income.
- Pig Farm Building Package (Razak). A complete operation: a pigsty for 500 pigs, a workshop, sheds and silos.
Sheep, goats and pastures
- Sheep Goat Barn (celobuki). 150 sheep or goats with automatic water for $60,000.
- Bigger Animal Barns (CavalierRoy, Monkey Show Modding). Cow, chicken and sheep barns for up to 2,000 animals, in just 0.14 MB.
- Fenceless Pastures (CookieModster). The game’s pens without fences and with more capacity, so you can put up your own fencing.
- Engelmaier Farm (BERNIESCS). A Bavarian farm from 1923 with a barn for 80 cows, a pigsty and a chicken coop.
Silos and storage
- Silos Multi Fruit (OmaTana). 10 million liters for $30,000 for almost any bulk or liquid product. One of its variants doesn’t share its contents, so nearby productions can’t take them.
- Silage bunkers: Bunker Silo (from $2,000), Bunker Silo Set Modular (20 pieces to build it to size) and Concrete Blocks Silo Pack (from $8,800).
- Bales and pallets: Bale Storage (up to 800 bales, no upkeep), Old Storage Shed (550 units), Sheds and Storages and Ivoy Straw Hangar for straw, hay and grass.
- Grain and machinery together: Large Storage Halls (41 x 31 m) and Storage Building Package by Vertexdezign.
- Slurry and manure: Manure Bassin (450,000 liters for $12,500), Slurry Storage Pack and Old Manure Heap (up to 5 million liters).
Machinery sheds and workshops
- Modern Barn With Workshop (ikas) and Old Time Shed Pack (Zero Oito). Sheds with a workshop for repairing and customizing your machinery without going to the dealer.
- American Midwest Shouse (ikas). A shed-house with a workshop, kitchen, bedroom and office.
- Modern Shed (Katsuo). A 23 x 36 m open shed that stores 200 bales and whose solar panels earn $150 a day.
- Simple sheds: Machine Barn, Small Shed Pack (from $30,000), Shed Pack, Storage Shed, Wood Shed, Wood Shelter Set and Salvage Halls Package.
Houses and decorations
They don’t produce anything, but they bring the farm to life. Some houses, like the Elegant House or the Large Package Of Houses, have a bed for skipping the night. The Modern House Set comes with 468 house variants, and the Farmhouse Package Volume 2, Volume 3 and Old Farm Package add old farmhouses. For the finishing touches, check out the Road Kit (roads with AI routes), the hedges from Placeable Hedges and Hedges Pack, the Meadow Fence Pack and Double Rod Mat Fence Pack fences, the Ground Textures, the Placeable Wall Lights, the Farm Decoration Pack and the Church Schondorf.
Tips for making productions profitable
- Start small. Upkeep is charged every day even when the factory is idle. A garden or a small pigsty teaches you how the chain works before you invest in a biogas plant or a wind turbine.
- Make use of by-products. The manure from your barns feeds the Garden Plot or the Open Air Garden, and slurry can go into the PlanET Modular BGA’s digester. The digestate goes back to the field as fertilizer.
- Shorten your trips. Place each production next to the silo or field that supplies it, and a selling point like Sell Everything next to what you produce.
- Check what you do with your output. In the production menu you can store each product, sell it directly or distribute it to your other productions. If you sell directly, first compare it with what the best buyer on the map pays.
- Big investments come last. With loans still outstanding, money goes further on fields and machinery. Leave biogas and wind turbines for when the farm is already running.
- Choose the right map. Some already come with lots of production chains, like Castile And Leon (27 factories), Geistal (17 productions) or Alma, Missouri. Others, like New Frontier, come almost empty so you can build it all yourself. You’ll find more in the guide to Farming Simulator 25 maps.

Frequently asked questions
Can I put mod productions on any map?
Yes. They’re placeable buildings: you buy them in build mode and put them on land you own. Make sure you have enough flat space, because some, like the LIZARD barn, take up about 68 x 91 meters.
Do they work on PS5, Xbox and Switch 2?
Everything in this guide is listed on the ModHub for PC/Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch 2. On console you download them from the in-game menu.
How many productions can I have?
According to the author of the PlanET Modular BGA, the game limits productions to 60. If you build a lot, that cap may fall short.
What happens if I remove a building’s mod?
The building disappears from your savegame and you may lose whatever depended on it. Back up your savegame before disabling mods on an advanced farm; we explain how in how to install mods in Farming Simulator 25.
Do factories earn more than selling grain?
Processing your harvest adds value, but it depends on the map, the prices and what you spend on upkeep and transport. If you’d rather sell grain, the Harvest Profit script raises the price of basic crops to balance them with factory products.
