Farming Simulator 25 comes with three maps: Riverbend Springs (United States), Zielonka (Central Europe) and Hutan Pantai (East Asia). GIANTS Software has added two more with paid expansions: Kinlaig, in the Scottish Highlands, with Highlands Fishing (November 2025), and Catuaí, inspired by Brazil, with Beans & Alpacas, which comes out on October 27, 2026. There are also free official maps on the ModHub and hundreds of community maps, from Castile and León to Argentina. Below you’ll find them all, with how to install them and start a savegame.
The three base game maps
GIANTS describes the base game as «three maps in North America, East Asia and Central Europe». Each one has a different play style:
- Riverbend Springs (North America): large farms between winding rivers and historic grain elevators. According to the community wiki, it’s set in Arkansas. It’s the map that fits North American machinery, like the Plains & Prairies Pack, which doesn’t come with its own map.
- Zielonka (Central Europe): it returns from Farming Simulator 22 with a refreshed look. Smaller fields, ponds and a Central European village feel. It’s a good choice for getting started.
- Hutan Pantai (East Asia): this installment’s new map. It has rice paddies with two kinds of rice, dedicated machinery for planting and harvesting it, water buffalo, a seaside port and snow-capped mountains in the background.
Official expansion maps
Kinlaig (Highlands Fishing Expansion)
It came out on November 4, 2025 on PC and consoles, and it’s included in the Year 1 Season Pass. Kinlaig is inspired by the Scottish Highlands, with rocky valleys and centuries-old castles. It adds aquaculture with salmon and rainbow trout, rod fishing from the shore and from the water, Highland cattle, onions as a new crop and more than 20 machines.
Catuaí (Beans & Alpacas Expansion)
It comes out on October 27, 2026 on PC, Mac, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and it’s included in the Year 2 Season Pass. Catuaí is a South American region inspired by Brazil, with hills, dense vegetation and an Amazon-style river with stilt houses. It brings coffee and bananas as new crops, alpacas, Brahman cattle, new production chains and more than 25 machines.

Free official maps on the ModHub
GIANTS also releases maps from earlier installments, adapted to FS25, for free on the ModHub. The best known is Silverrun Forest (February 26, 2025), the forestry map from the FS22 Platinum Expansion. It has more than 20,000 trees and a long-term project to build a roller coaster, and it comes with a Volvo machinery pack. HORSCH AgroVation came next. Both require installing a few extra packs, which the ModHub tells you about.

Almost all of them are also on PS5 and Xbox Series through the in-game ModHub, and Geistal, Szpakowo and BR-163 are on Switch 2 as well. Many require other mods (building packs, olive trees), so check the requirements on each mod page. You’ll find more ideas in the best FS25 mods.
How to install a mod map and start a savegame
- Download it from the ModHub in-game, in the downloadable content section. It’s the only way on console. On PC you can also copy the
.zip, unzipped, intoDocuments\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\mods. - Download its dependencies. The ModHub tells you which mods the map needs. If one is missing, the map doesn’t show up or it’s missing buildings.
- Create a new savegame. You choose a map when you create the savegame, and you can’t change it in one that’s already started. In career mode, pick the map from the list: mod maps appear alongside the official ones.
- Enable the mods on that savegame’s mod selection screen, with the map and everything it requires.
If a map gets a major update, like Castile and Leon’s 2.0, the author may ask you to start from scratch. Back up your savegame before updating. You’ll find the full process in how to install mods in Farming Simulator 25.

No. Every savegame is tied to its map. To play on another one you have to start a new savegame. The old one stays saved and you can go back to it whenever you want.
Do mod maps work on PS5 and Xbox?
Yes, if they’re on the official ModHub and the author has released them for console. You download them from within the game. You can’t install maps from other websites.
Do I need the expansion to play on Kinlaig or Catuaí?
