As of October 3, 2026, Hytale costs 19.99 US dollars (USD) for the Standard edition, 34.99 USD for Supporter and 69.99 USD for Cursebreaker. It’s only sold on the official store, store.hytale.com: it isn’t on Steam or console stores. The store charges in dollars and, if you buy from Spain, VAT is added at checkout, so the Standard edition comes to about 24.19 USD in total, which your bank or PayPal converts to euros. Prices can change, so always check the final amount on the store before you pay.
Hytale price by edition
All three editions include the same Early Access game. The difference is in the cosmetics: capes, outfit sets and accessories for your character. Hypixel Studios has promised it will never sell gameplay advantages (no «pay to win»).

The store says all editions will get more cosmetics in future updates. These editions are only sold during Early Access, but whatever you buy stays on your account when that phase ends.
Which edition should you get?
If you just want to play, Standard is enough: it has exactly the same gameplay content as the others. The pricier editions are for supporting the studio and getting exclusive cosmetics. Plus, you can upgrade your edition later by paying only the difference, so you lose nothing by starting with the cheapest one.
Where to buy Hytale
The only official place is the Hypixel Studios store. Here’s how to buy it:
- Go to store.hytale.com and choose your edition.
- Read the pre-purchase notice (the game is in Early Access and may have bugs).
- Sign in with your Hytale account or create one on the spot.
- Choose your payment method and confirm.
- Keep the confirmation email with the transaction ID: you’ll be asked for it if you need support or a refund.

Is Hytale on Steam?
No. In its December 2025 FAQ, the studio answered «no, at least not at first»: they’d rather spend Early Access working with their community, and they explain that Steam doesn’t support some of the modding features they want to use. They don’t rule it out for the future, but today there’s no Hytale page on Steam. Any «Hytale for Steam» you see on another website isn’t official. Price in euros and regional pricing
According to the official support FAQ, store prices are set in dollars and you’re always charged in USD. If you pay with a euro or peso account, your bank or payment processor handles the conversion, with its own exchange rate and possible fees. That’s why the euro amount on your statement may vary by a few cents from one day to the next.
The store is run by Tebex as the merchant of record, and Tebex adds VAT to the price in European Union countries. In Spain (21%) that gives you the totals in the table above. Other countries may have different taxes.
Hypixel Studios said it was working on regional pricing for some countries and that, in the meantime, it was lowering Standard to 19.99 USD worldwide. The official gifting guide confirms that regular purchases can have regional pricing, since it clarifies that gifts are always charged «at the global price.» If you buy from Latin America, the price you see at checkout may differ from the one in the table.
Payment methods
The official list of payment methods is long, and Tebex only shows you the ones available in your country. Here are some from that list that may interest you depending on where you live:
- In Spain: credit or debit card, PayPal, Klarna, SEPA transfer and SOFORT. Paysafecard and cryptocurrency also appear, but with those two methods there are no refunds.
- In Mexico: card, PayPal, OXXO, SPEI transfers and Mercado Pago.
- In other Latin American countries: for example, PSE, Nequi and Efecty (Colombia), WebPay, MACH, Servipag and Sencillito (Chile), PagoEfectivo (Peru) or RapiPago and PagoFácil (Argentina).
Refunds
The official policy lets you request a refund if both conditions are met:
- You request it within 14 days of purchase.
- Your account has less than 4 hours of playtime.
You request it through official support (support.hytale.com), giving your email and the transaction ID. Heads up: gifts can’t be refunded, and some payment methods don’t allow refunds either. If you get your money back, your username stays reserved for 7 days and is then released.
How to gift Hytale
The official store has a gift option:
- On store.hytale.com, choose the edition and click GIFT instead of buying.
- Sign in, pay and you’ll receive a 16-character gift code by email.
- The other person redeems it at accounts.hytale.com/redeem with their own Hytale account.

Hytale keys on third-party sites: be careful
The only official Hytale «keys» are the gift codes from the official store. If a key reseller site or a seller on social media offers Hytale for less, keep in mind that:
- Official support asks you not to buy or claim Hytale on unauthorized sites.
- Selling accounts or usernames is against the rules and can get you banned.
- Gifts can’t be refunded, so if a code doesn’t work or gets revoked later, you’re unlikely to get your money back.
- «Free Hytale» or «key generator» websites are scams or attempts to steal your account.
