There’s no Hytale for mobile. As of October 22, 2026, there’s no official version for Android or iPhone, it isn’t on the Play Store or the App Store, and Hypixel Studios has said there will be no mobile version during early access. Any «Hytale APK» or «Hytale mobile» you see online is fake: a different game with the name changed, an ad page or straight-up malware. Hytale only runs on Windows PCs, Apple Silicon Macs and Linux, and the only realistic way to see it on your phone is to stream it from your own computer.
What Hypixel has said about Hytale on mobile
These are the official statements so far:
- December 2025, in the first official FAQ: «there will be no mobile version of Hytale for early access.» The studio added that it’s still evaluating what it would take to make it viable.
- January 2026: Hypixel Studios co-founder Kevin Carstens said on social media that, before going to consoles or mobile, they’ll bring Hytale to Steam Deck and other PC handhelds.
There hasn’t been any announcement about Android or iOS since. The order set by the studio itself is: PC first, then Steam Deck-style handhelds and, later on, consoles. Mobile doesn’t even have a confirmed plan. You can follow the status of each platform in Hytale on consoles.
It’s not a game designed for a phone, either: the official website asks for at least 8 GB of RAM, a desktop processor like an Intel Core i5-7500 or Ryzen 3 1200 and an SSD with free space. You’ll find all the details in Hytale requirements.
Why «Hytale APKs» are fake
Searches like «hytale apk,» «hytale play store» or «hytale for mobile» get a lot of volume, and that attracts people looking to take advantage. What those downloads usually offer is:
- Block game clones with the Hytale logo or screenshots, sometimes published on the Play Store for a while until they get taken down.
- «Installers» that never install anything: they show a fake download bar and then ask you for «human verification,» surveys or to install other apps.
- Official-looking pages on public note or document services promising an «official Hytale Mobile APK 2026.» They aren’t official: none of those domains belong to Hypixel.
- Malware: apps that flood your phone with ads, ask for permissions they don’t need or try to steal passwords.
The rule is simple: official support reminds you that the only Hytale domains are hytale.com and store.hytale.com, and warns that any other site posing as Hytale is probably phishing. Hytale isn’t sold on the Play Store or the App Store, and a game that doesn’t exist for Android can’t have an APK.
If you already installed one
- Uninstall the app.
- On Android, open the Play Store and run a scan with Google Play Protect.
- If you entered your details in that app or site, change the password for your Hytale account and any accounts you use on your phone, and turn on two-step verification at accounts.hytale.com.
Legal ways to play Hytale from your phone
None of these options is a mobile version or officially supported by Hypixel. They all require you to have bought Hytale from the official store and, except for the last one, a computer you already play it on.
Stream from your PC with Steam Link
Steam Link is Valve’s free app for Android and for iPhone and iPad. It streams to your phone whatever you’re running on your PC with Steam. Hytale isn’t on Steam, but you can add its launcher to your library as a «non-Steam game» (we explain how in Hytale on Steam) and launch it from Steam Link. It works with many external games, but it isn’t guaranteed and it isn’t an official Hytale option. Valve recommends 5 GHz Wi-Fi or a wired connection on the PC and a controller paired with your phone.
Remote desktop apps
Any legitimate app that streams your PC’s desktop to your phone lets you see Hytale on your phone screen. The problem is the controls: Hytale is designed for keyboard and mouse. Since Update 5 (May 2026) it has initial controller support, which helps, but there are still menus and inventory screens where a touchscreen falls short.
What about the cloud?
Hytale isn’t on GeForce NOW or on cloud gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, and there’s no official announcement about it. GeForce NOW works with games from stores like Steam or Epic, and Hytale is only sold in its own store. The only route is services that rent you a full Windows PC in the cloud, where you install the launcher like on any computer. They’re paid, separately from the game, and aren’t backed by the studio.
Block games that are officially on mobile
If what you’re after is a block-based building and adventure game native to your phone, the best-known official option is Minecraft, by Mojang Studios, sold on the Play Store and the App Store (Bedrock Edition).
