Hyper Crossbows for Hytale

What this mod does

Hyper Crossbows adds four new crossbow tiers to fill the gap between the iron crossbow and endgame weapons. Each tier raises damage by around 10% and holds one more loaded bolt.

What changes

• Smoother progression: the author places the crossbows on the game’s metal ladder, from crude, copper and iron up to thorium, cobalt, adamantite, mithril and onyxium.
• Recipes: they all follow the same pattern and ask for ingots of the matching metal.
• Load kept: since 1.1.0, crossbows keep their loaded bolts even if you switch slots.
• Toggle: /pjcrossbows or /pjcb turns that feature on or off.

Requirements and Update 7

It needs PJ CoreLib; PJ Money is optional. Version 1.3.5 (October 12, 2026) is the one for 0.7. Keep in mind that Update 7 nerfed the stock crossbows: the iron crossbow’s combo drops from 27 to 13 and the ancient steel one goes from 16 to 10.5 on the normal attack; on top of that, firing slows you down by 50%. The description doesn’t say whether the new tiers have been recalculated on those values. It does a similar job to More Crossbow Tiers: don’t mix them.

Requirements

• Hytale (Early Access) on PC or server, version 0.7 (file PJ-HyperCrossbows-1.3.5.jar)
• PJ CoreLib (required)
• PJ Money (optional)

How to install it

1. Open the Hyper Crossbows page on CurseForge and click Install to add it with the CurseForge app, or download PJ-HyperCrossbows-1.3.5.jar from the Files tab (the file tagged 0.7).
2. If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
3. Install PJ CoreLib the same way too (it's required).
4. Open Hytale, right-click the world, check Hyper Crossbows in the mod list and save the world settings.
5. On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
6. In game, look for the new crossbows among the weapon recipes; use /pjcb if you want to turn off load keeping.
