HyperPickaxes for Hytale

What this mod does

HyperPickaxes adds special pickaxe variants in six metals: copper, iron, thorium, cobalt, adamantite and mithril. Each variant has its own ability.

The pickaxes

• Vein: mines all connected ore in one go.
• Smelting: turns ore into ingots as you mine it.
• Silk touch: gets blocks intact, crystals included.
• Fortune: multiplies block drops by a random value between 2x and 8x.
• Smelting and fortune: combines the previous two, both at full durability.

Recipes

Each variant takes the regular pickaxe’s materials plus an essence (fire, life, void or ice), twice as many as the ingots. For example, the iron smelting pickaxe: 3 iron ingots, 2 sticks and 6 fire essences.

Requirements and Update 7

It needs PJ CoreLib; auto-repair uses PJ Money and is set up with /hpick. Version 1.3.6 (October 12, 2026) is the one for 0.7. Update 7 greatly increased the durability of stock pickaxes (iron goes from 250 to 500) and brings the Goblin Repair Kit, which repairs without lowering max durability; the description doesn’t say whether these variants inherit the new values. It’s best not to use it together with Vein Mining.

Requirements

• Hytale (Early Access) on PC or server, version 0.7 (file PJ-HyperPickaxes-1.3.6.jar)
• PJ CoreLib (required)
• PJ Money (optional, for auto-repair)

How to install it

1. Open the HyperPickaxes page on CurseForge and click Install to add it with the CurseForge app, or download PJ-HyperPickaxes-1.3.6.jar from the Files tab (the file tagged 0.7).
2. If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
3. Install PJ CoreLib the same way too (it's required).
4. Open Hytale, right-click the world, check HyperPickaxes in the mod list and save the world settings.
5. On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
6. In game, get fire, life, void or ice essences and craft the pickaxe variant you want; with PJ Money, set up auto-repair with /hpick.
