Auto-Grab Truffles for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Auto-Grab Truffles, by Tsin, expands the barn’s Auto-Grabber so it also collects the truffles your pigs dig up. In the base game you have to hunt for them around the farm every morning; with this mod they end up straight in the Auto-Grabber.

How it works

• Truffles go into the Auto-Grabber in the barn where both the pig that found them and the machine live.
• Configurable frequency: instantly (the default), every hour, at the end of the day or at the start of the next one.
• Options to earn experience and apply the Gatherer and Botanist profession bonuses.
• If the Auto-Grabber is full, the truffles are collected later, once there’s room.

Requirements and compatibility

It only requires SMAPI; you configure it with Generic Mod Config Menu or the config.json. Version 1.1.0 (May 7, 2024, 22 KB) updates the code for 1.6, although the author warns that they only tested it with a pre-1.6 save.

Limitations: it doesn’t integrate with other auto-collect mods. It hasn’t been tested in multiplayer; the author thinks it works but doesn’t guarantee it. The author doesn’t accept donations.

Requirements

• Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC)
• SMAPI 4.x (the latest version)
• Optional: Generic Mod Config Menu

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI first (see its page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
2. Optional: install Generic Mod Config Menu to choose the collection frequency from in-game.
3. Open the Auto-Grab Truffles page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Auto-Grab Truffles 1.1.0). You need a free Nexus account to download.
4. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
5. Launch the game with SMAPI and check the next day that the truffles show up in the Auto-Grabber in your pigs' barn.
