Activate Sprinklers for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Activate Sprinklers, by f4iTh, adds a very simple action: right-click a sprinkler to make it water right then and there. In the base game sprinklers only run at the start of the day, so if you plant something at noon you have to water it by hand.

What it’s for

• Instantly watering seeds you just planted within a sprinkler’s range.
• Re-watering after placing new sprinklers without waiting for the next day.
• It works with a controller and with modded sprinklers like Prismatic Tools or Line Sprinklers.
• An infinite range option, off by default, lets you activate sprinklers from afar.

Requirements and compatibility

It requires SMAPI 4.0 or later and is configured with Generic Mod Config Menu or the config file. Version 1.3.2 (March 22, 2024, 26 KB) is listed for SMAPI 4.0 and Stardew Valley 1.6, and fixes repeated error messages when holding certain items.

The mod is a rewrite of PhthaloBlue’s original work, whom it credits, and its code is published on GitHub. The page doesn’t mention multiplayer, Android or translations. Use it sparingly if you want the original challenge: watering twice a day saves quite a bit of work.

Requirements

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI first (see its page) and launch the game once with it to make sure it works.
2. Optional: install Generic Mod Config Menu to change the options from in-game.
3. Open the Activate Sprinklers page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Activate Sprinklers 1.3.2). You need a free Nexus account to download.
4. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
5. Launch the game with SMAPI, plant something next to a sprinkler and right-click it to water instantly.
