What this mod does
Dynamic Reflections, by PeacefulEnd (author of Fashion Sense and Alternative Textures), adds dynamic reflections to the game. The farmer, NPCs, buildings, furniture and terrain are reflected in the water, on both vanilla and modded maps.
What it adds
- Water reflections, with presets for the base game’s maps since 4.0.0.
- Puddles that reflect and splash during and after rainy days.
- Stars and comets visible in the water on clear nights.
- Mirrors via map tiles and modded furniture; there’s a separate mirror pack, Fashionable Mirrors.
Requirements and compatibility
It only needs SMAPI. Version 4.0.1 (January 11, 2026, 117 KB) is compatible with 1.6.9; if you’re coming from 3.0.0 or earlier, your water reflection settings get reset. Since 4.0.0 it supports multiplayer, and Nexus marks it as Android-compatible.
You can adjust the ripples, color and height, the water’s transparency at each stage of sunset and per-location options, from config.json or with Generic Mod Config Menu. It’s compatible with Visible Fish. There’s a Spanish translation by Gonzy42 on Nexus.

Requirements
- Stardew Valley 1.6.9 or later (PC; Nexus also marks it as Android-compatible)
- SMAPI 4.x
- Optional: Generic Mod Config Menu
How to install it
- First install SMAPI (see its mod page) and launch the game once with it to check that it works.
- Open the Dynamic Reflections page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Dynamic Reflections 4.0.1). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder inside the game folder.
- Launch the game with SMAPI and adjust the reflections from the mod options menu (with Generic Mod Config Menu) or in config.json.

Common problems
Do I need Content Patcher?
Not for the main mod. Only the reflection packs for modded furniture are made with Content Patcher.
Does it work in multiplayer?
Yes, since version 4.0.0.
Will I lose my settings when I update?
Only the water reflection ones, and only if you're coming from 3.0.0 or earlier.
