What this mod does

Stardust Core is the base library for Omegasis’s mods: it contains shared code those mods need to work. On its own it does nothing in the game.

Which mods need it

  • Happy Birthday, which gives the player a birthday with gifts and messages from the villagers.
  • Stardew Symphony Remastered, which changes how the valley’s music sounds.
  • Other mods by Omegasis: Nexus counts more than 20 that use it.

Requirements and compatibility

It only needs SMAPI. Version 3.1.1 (November 24, 2024, 133 KB) updates the minimum SMAPI version in the manifest; 3.1.0 was released for 1.6 with shared code for the author’s future mods. Nexus marks it as compatible with 1.6 and with Android.

The author clarifies that it accesses the game’s save serializer, but that this doesn’t change how your save is stored. Version 3.0.1 fixed a bug when triggering events from mods like Happy Birthday, which 2.8.0 already updated automatically.

As a player, only install it if an Omegasis mod asks for it, and keep it updated along with them. It has no text to translate.

Highlights and things to keep in mind

Highlights
  • Required for Happy Birthday and other Omegasis mods
  • Updated for 1.6
  • Open permissions (it only forbids reselling it)
Keep in mind
  • It does nothing without the mods that use it
  • The page doesn't clarify multiplayer

Requirements

  • Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC; tagged as Android-compatible)
  • SMAPI 4.x
  • An Omegasis mod that uses it

How to install it

  1. Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game with it once to make sure it works.
  2. Open the Stardust Core page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Stardust Core 3.1.1). You need a free Nexus account to download.
  3. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
  4. Install the Omegasis mod that needs it (for example, Happy Birthday) and launch the game with SMAPI.

Common problems

No. It's the shared base for Omegasis's mods.

Does it touch my saves?

It accesses the save serializer, but the author says it doesn't change how the game is saved.

Does it work on Android?

Nexus marks it as Android-compatible.
