What this mod does
Unique Courtship Response CORE, by MissCoriel, is a framework mod for character authors. In the game, many courtship reactions use generic lines; this mod lets each NPC have their own responses to those moments through content packs.
What it lets you do
- Custom responses to courtship actions and birthdays, plus 1.5 lines such as the wilted bouquet one.
- Pregnancy and adoption dialogue (since 2.0).
- Jealousy reactions that reset every day.
- Console commands to reload its data (
ucr_reload) or check an NPC’s data (ucr_check), and a daily check that warns you if something breaks.
Requirements and compatibility
It only requires SMAPI. On its own it doesn’t change anything visible: it’s used by character mods that list it as a requirement, so you’ll usually install it because another mod needs it. The author recommends her add-on UCR 4: Happy Birthday, and the details for authors are on her GitHub wiki.
Version 2.1.7 (June 27, 2026, 30 KB) moves almost all error checking to the background. The page marks it as compatible with 1.6 and Android, and the author lists Spanish among the languages it supports. Some authors no longer require it since 1.6, such as Maggs Immersive Sebastian.

How to install it
- Install SMAPI first (see its mod page) and launch the game once with it to check that it works.
- Open the Miss Coriel's Unique Courtship Response CORE page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (MissCoriel's Unique Courtship Response CORE 2.1.7). You need a free Nexus account to download.
- Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the resulting folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
- Install the character mods that use it and launch the game with SMAPI: the console will warn you if anything is missing.
