Events Expansion for Stardew Valley

What this mod does

Events Expansion, by nraittanna, adds 24 heart events for the villagers of Pelican Town. They’re everyday, friendly scenes that show how the neighbors get along with each other, rather than stories centered on the farmer.

Some of the events

• At the beach, with Elliott, or with Sam, Abigail and Leah.
• At the Saloon: Pam and Gus, Clint and Willy, Haley and Alex, Emily and Harvey.
• In town: Linus and Shane (before completing the Community Center), and the gang of Sam, Sebastian, Abigail and Emily.
• In homes and shops: George, Evelyn and Lewis, Sebastian and Robin, Pierre, Jodi and Kent, Demetrius and Harvey, among others.

Each event has its own heart, location, weather, season or time condition. Some come from Life Cycle, by the same author.

Requirements and compatibility

It requires SMAPI and Content Patcher, and it can be added to an existing save. Version 1.4.0 (April 23, 2024) is the 1.6 version and weighs just 14 KB. It’s technically compatible with other mods, but the stories may not fit with mods that change the same characters, and if another mod edits maps, NPCs may walk through objects. The page marks it as compatible with Android (1.5). There are two Spanish translations on Nexus.

Requirements

• Stardew Valley 1.6.x (PC)
• SMAPI 4.x
• Content Patcher

How to install it

1. Install SMAPI and Content Patcher first (see their mod pages) and launch the game once with SMAPI to check that everything loads.
2. Open the Events Expansion page on Nexus Mods, go to the Files tab and click Manual download on the main file (Events Expansion 1.4.0). You need a free Nexus account to download.
3. Unzip the .zip outside the game folder and move the [CP] Events Expansion folder into the Mods folder, inside the game folder.
4. If you want to play in Spanish, install one of the translations from Nexus following its instructions.
5. Launch the game with SMAPI and check that there are no red errors in the console.
