What this mod does
Actual Day-/Night times is a mod by Erbkaiser for American Truck Simulator. It replaces the midsummer day the game always uses with the real sunrise and sunset times for each location. It has more than 100,000 subscribers.
How it works
- The game only supports one reference day per week, so the mod uses the next Wednesday.
- The author updates it every week.
- Days are longer in summer and shorter in winter.
- It doesn’t change the in-game calendar or the weather, and it doesn’t add snow or seasonal textures.
Compatibility
It works with almost every mod. Load it above graphics, weather and map mods. Use only one day-length mod at a time. The author also offers separate fixed versions: shortest day, about 10 hours, and equal day and night, about 12 hours.
Note for Mexico
The author doesn’t support combining it with the Reforma map. He explains that its coordinates aren’t accurate and that it applies daylight saving time in Mexico, which he considers incorrect. ATS uses permanent daylight saving time, which causes offsets in winter in areas like Arizona.
Version
The author doesn’t list a game version. It’s a small file that changes every week; the latest update is from October 24, 2026.

Common problems
Does it use my computer's clock?
No: the author clarifies that it applies the sunrise and sunset times of each place on the map.
Does it work with the Reforma map?
No, the author doesn't support it because of the map's coordinates and daylight saving time in Mexico.
Does it change the weather or add snow?
No, only daylight hours; you need other mods for that.
