What this mod does
AirSeat Ride is a physics mod by Eddie Yantz that adds more movement to the driver’s view and the cab, as if you were sitting on an air-suspension seat. It’s a classic on the American Truck Simulator Workshop: it was released in July 2019 and has over 54,000 subscribers.
How it works
- It works with SCS trucks.
- With modded trucks it may or may not work, depending on how they’re built.
- The author explains that raising the horizon_locking_factor value reduces the driver’s vertical movement.
- The same effect is included in the author’s physics mods Normal Surfaces and Slippery Surfaces, so if you already use one of them, you already have it.
Version
In the changelog from September 26, 2026, the author writes “1.61 confirmed working.” It’s a file of just 97 KB, requires no DLC and, according to those same notes, it has been marked as optional for Convoy multiplayer since July 2022.
Things to keep in mind
The description is very short: it says nothing about load order or how it gets along with other physics mods. Holymod also has a page for Air Ride, a mod by another author with a similar idea, whose author asks you not to combine it with other seat mods. Eddie Yantz also publishes a version for ETS2.
