What this mod does

Bank Loan Expansion is a mod by Ashenator that expands the bank loans in American Truck Simulator so you can grow your company faster. It has over 27,000 subscribers on Steam Workshop.

Credit limit by level

• Level 0: $130,000, and level 3: $500,000, as in the game.
• Level 10: $1 million; level 15: $2 million; level 20: $2.5 million.
• Level 30: $5 million; level 35: $10 million.

Available loans

• $125,000 at 23% over 8 weeks: $2,277 per day.
• $250,000 at 18% over 12 weeks: $3,052 per day.
• $500,000 at 14% over 16 weeks: $4,597 per day.
• $1,000,000 at 10% over 20 weeks: $7,318 per day.

Version

The description says it’s verified on 1.58, and the author confirmed it in the comments in February 2026. The file hasn’t changed since 2018: according to the author, it only broke once, when SCS tied purchasable trailers to level. In December 2025 he said it also works in ETS2. It’s about 29 KB.

Before you use it

It’s an economy mod: use it in single-player only and back up your profile before enabling it.

Requirements

• American Truck Simulator (the author confirms it up to 1.58)
• Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
• No DLC or other mods required

How to install it

1. Open the “Bank Loan Expansion” page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
2. Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
3. Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
4. Open the bank from the game menu to see the new loans.
