ATS Mexican trucks: Kenworth, International and Freightliner

To get Mexican trucks in ATS you have two routes: install mod models that are a common sight in Mexico, like the Kenworth T660 or the GTM team’s Kenworth T800, or tune SCS’s stock trucks (Kenworth W900L, Kenworth T680 2022 and International LT) with JorgeGamer44444’s accessory packs. To finish the job, paint the truck and the trailers with the ¡Viva México! Skin Pack and fit plates from any of the 32 states. Everything is free except Jon Ruda’s Freightliner Classic XL, which costs $35. Below you’ll find each model with its author and its version for ATS 1.61, updated October 22, 2026.

Kenworth: the T660, the T800 and the tuning packs

Kenworth T660

The T660 replaced the T600 in 2008 and was sold in Mexico until 2017, so it’s a very familiar truck to anyone who has traveled Mexican highways. JorgeGamer44444’s Kenworth T660 mod brings it with its aerodynamic hood and the headlights built into the fenders. The free version includes one cab and the factory accessories, and it uses the game’s engines. The 3D model is by Jekich1 (bought on TurboSquid), and the author updates it with every ATS version: 11.0, from September 23, 2026, is for 1.61.

Kenworth T800

The GTM Kenworth T800 recreates the 2015 to 2018 T800, with its sloped hood and set-back front axle. It comes with 4×2, 6×2, 6×4 and 8×4 chassis in short and long wheelbase, and Day Cab, Sleeper and Aero Sleeper cabs. The GTM team stopped updating it in 2020, so on 1.61 you also need GTM Fixes, by Maurice Randall: it fixes blinding headlights, overly bright mirrors and the echo in the cab, and its version 1.8 prevents a game crash when switching interiors at the dealer. Subscribe to both and place GTM Fixes above the T800.

W900L and T680 2022 with extra parts

If you’d rather start from a stock Kenworth, JorgeGamer44444 has two packs. The W900L Accesories Pack adds bumpers, visors, exhausts, mud flaps, grilles, lights, tanks and 36 colors to the long-nose W900L; it’s on version 16.0 (September 24, 2026), for ATS 1.61, and requires the W900 Tuning Pack DLC. The T680 2022 Accesories Pack does the same for the T680 Next Gen (bumpers, front banner, interior screen, mud flaps and 36 colors), but as of October 22, 2026 it’s still on version 12.0 for 1.60.

International: from the LT to the Paystar

The stock International LT can be tuned extensively with the International LT Accesories Pack: more than 393 parts, two paintable chassis, 37 colors and 5 skins, no DLC needed, on version 11.0 for 1.61. Beyond what SCS ships, there are three International mods that fit a working fleet:

• International HX520 2022 (Harven): long-hood conventional for heavy-duty work, with a day cab and two sleepers, 6×4, 8×4 and 8×6 chassis and six versions of the Cummins X15. It weighs about 673 MB.
• International Paystar 5070 (Smarty): construction truck with an oversized chassis and high ground clearance, day cab only. It shows up in quick jobs for heavy cargo.
• International 9800i (Lucasi_ and FASTER CGO, based on a model by odd_fellow): 1997 cab-over. It’s only tested on 1.56, so the game may flag it as outdated.

Freightliner and Peterbilt

Jon Ruda’s Freightshaker Classic XL reproduces the long-nose Freightliner Classic XL, with 10 cabs, 8 chassis, an animated interior and Kriechbaum engines and sounds. It’s paid ($35 on the author’s website), and version 10.10 works from 1.58 to 1.61. For free, Half Fast Gaming’s Project 3XX brings together the 1990s Peterbilts, with 330, 357, 377, 377 SFFA, 379 and EXHD hoods in a single truck, compatible from 1.57 to 1.61.

Skins, plates and trailers for the «Mexican» look

• ¡Viva México! Skin Pack (Compa_Neto): designs inspired by Mexico’s national holidays for the Kenworth T680 and for 32, 45, 48 and 53 ft dry vans, insulated and reefer trailers. It weighs almost 345 MB, and the author lists it as compatible with the latest versions.
• Mexican plates (iShisui): animated plate holders and plates for all 32 states, from Aguascalientes to Zacatecas. The text is fixed and the author doesn’t publish a list of compatible trucks; try it at the service shop.
• Double trailers. ATS lets you buy SCS’s own trailers in single, double or triple configuration, the closest thing to the Mexican «full». If you want to paint them, the Lost Bayou and Fireblade skins cover all those configurations.

Mexican trucks in traffic

If what you want is to pass trucks from Mexican carriers, not drive them, the mod is Teotitaco’s Tráfico Mexicano: liveries from 17 carriers such as Castores, Tres Guerras, TUM and Cemex, «full» doubles from Castores, TAG, TLASA, Trabal and Trucka, and PEMEX tanker trucks. They only spawn in Mexico, so you need a map like Reforma. It’s rounded out by Mexican Traffic Trailer Pack, with trailers from Castores, Lala, Soriana, Traxion, TUM and XCF in traffic and on the freight market. Neither one lists a game version: they were last updated in January 2026.

Installation and load order

TruckyMods mods are downloaded and copied into Documents/American Truck Simulator/mod; Steam Workshop mods install when you subscribe. Then enable them in the Mod Manager. Three rules to keep them from clashing:

1. Patches and add-ons go above the truck they modify: GTM Fixes above the T800, and SiSL’s accessories above Project 3XX.
2. JorgeGamer44444’s accessory packs only work with their SCS truck. The W900L one also needs the W900 Tuning Pack DLC.
3. Mod trucks are bought at their brand’s dealer; some, like Maurice Randall’s, also show up in the mod dealers section.

As of October 22, 2026, no: the published version of the T680 2022 Accesories Pack is 12.0, for 1.60. The W900L and International LT packs do have a 1.61 version.

How do I put Mexican plates on my truck?

With iShisui’s plates mod: enable it, go to the service shop and pick the plate holder with the plate of the state you want. The number can’t be customized.

Can you haul a «full» in ATS?
