What this mod does

Ownable Cargo Market Rework – Vanilla Edition is a mod by ElGatoConBottas for American Truck Simulator. It expands the cargo your owned trailers can haul in the cargo market. It isn’t a market you can buy, even though the name confuses some players. It has almost 16,000 subscribers.

What it changes

• Reefer and insulated trailers: they can haul more dry cargo.
• Curtainsider trailers: many more loads, including lots of flatbed and dropdeck cargo, since they’re the same trailer with a curtain.
• Containers: more cargo. Refrigerated loads come with a reefer container, which is hidden by default. The author recommends Arnook’s Container Pack as compatible.

2026 version

In 2026 the author rebuilt the mod from scratch to make it useful again. It focuses on stock cargo and companies, and he’s announced a «custom» edition for later. In March 2026 he said it’s made for 1.58, that on 1.52 it may partly work without the container cargo, and that he won’t support old versions. In July he was asked about 1.60.1 and didn’t reply.

Load order

Give it high priority: above maps, economy mods and trailer mods. The author doesn’t guarantee other mods will work if they sit above this one.

Requirements

• American Truck Simulator 1.58 (latest confirmed by the author)
• Steam account to subscribe on the Workshop
• An owned trailer to make use of it

How to install it

1. Open the "Ownable Cargo Market Rework - Vanilla Edition" page on Steam Workshop and click "Subscribe".
2. Launch American Truck Simulator and wait for Steam to finish the download.
3. Open your profile's Mod Manager and enable the mod.
4. Move it above your maps, economy mods and trailer mods.
5. Open the cargo market with your owned trailer attached and check the new loads.
