What this mod does
The 1989 ETK K1 is a small roadster from the fictional brand ETK, set between 1989 and 1991. Its most striking feature is the doors that slide down into the body, and almost all its panels are plastic. According to the author, AdamPLGames, it’s based on the ETK I-Series.
What’s included
- A 2.5-liter inline-six engine.
- A version tuned by Rennspecht with a 2.7-liter six-cylinder.
- Bodywork modeled from scratch by the author, with working doors and roof.
- Left- or right-hand-drive interior.
- Two new 16×7-inch wheels (ETK K1 and Rennspecht K1).
- A special art livery by Ziawa2445.
Release notes
The author released a fix for 0.39 on August 11, 2026 and version 1.3.1 on August 17. It’s still in Beta, and the author admits the model and texture quality could be better and that they’ll keep polishing it.
Multiplayer
In an old version, the car made other players’ vehicles spin in online sessions; a user confirmed in March 2026 that this BeamMP bug had been fixed.
Credits
The main jbeam is based on LucasBE’s ETK K 94. Thanks also go to BeamNG, Ziawa2445, JorgePinto and Vibestation 5 for their help. The author also made the Polish paint pack Polish Pack.

How to install it
- Open the 1989 ETK K1 page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or subscribe from the in-game Repository (Subscribe button).
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip, without unzipping it, into the mods folder inside your BeamNG.drive user folder.
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- Open the vehicle selector, look for the ETK K1 and pick a config.

Common problems
Does it work in BeamMP?
An old bug made other players' cars spin; according to one user, it was fixed in 2026.
The engine looks orange, is that normal?
A user asked about it after 0.39 and the author said they'd look into it; install 1.3.1, released afterward.
Is the model original?
Yes, the bodywork was made from scratch; the jbeam is based on LucasBE's ETK K 94, which is credited.
