What this mod does
SGR Simple Drag Timer is a set of UI apps for timing drag races in BeamNG.drive. If you like building cars for drag racing, it gives you the split times used at real drag strips, without having to set anything up on the map.
Included timers
- Quarter mile: 60 ft, 330 ft, eighth mile with speed, 1000 ft and quarter mile with speed.
- Eighth mile: 60 ft, 330 ft and eighth mile with speed.
- Full eighth mile: adds the 165 and 500 ft splits.
- Half mile: from 330 ft to the half mile, with intermediate speeds.
Launch types
Each timer can start in four ways: automatic, when you exceed the target speed (the default), or when you release the transbrake, the clutch or the foot brake. The last three are useful with vehicles that shake a lot or have an unstable structure, because they prevent false starts. Best times are shown on the right and are only cleared with the reset button.
Compatibility
It has only one version, from January 2025. In October 2025 a user reported that it stopped working after the 0.37 app changes, but two reviews from October 2026 say it works fine. Test it before relying on it for your records.

How to install it
- Open the SGR Simple Drag Timer page on the official BeamNG Repository.
- Click Download to get the .zip, or click Subscribe to install it from the in-game Repository.
- If you download it manually, copy the .zip (don't unzip it) into the mods folder in your user folder (AppData > Local > BeamNG > BeamNG.drive > current > mods; the launcher opens it with Manage User Folder).
- Launch the game and check in the Mod Manager that it's enabled.
- In the game, press Esc, open UI Apps, edit the layout and add the timer you want (1/4, 1/8, full 1/8 or 1/2 mile).
- Choose the launch type in the app and floor it; press the reset button to clear the best times.

Common problems
Which launch type should I choose?
Automatic works for almost everything; the transbrake, clutch or brake options prevent false starts on cars that shake a lot.
Are best times cleared when I exit?
They're only cleared when you press each timer's reset button.
Does it work in recent versions?
One user said it broke in 0.37, but reviews from October 2026 say it works fine.
