What this mod does
Google Maps Spanish Voices Navigation is a sound mod by Darkcaptain that replaces the Euro Truck Simulator 2 navigation voice with Spanish voices in the style of Google Maps directions. It’s one of the most used Spanish (Castilian) voice mods on the Workshop.
What’s included
- Classic Google Maps voice.
- Google Maps voice with a speaker effect, so it sounds like it’s coming from the truck’s audio system.
- Google Maps 2020 voice, with the new voices Google launched in June 2020.
- Google Maps 2020 voice with a speaker effect.
All four show up as separate voice packs in the audio options, so you can switch between them without disabling the mod.
Version and compatibility
The author updates it with every game version: the “1.61” change note is from September 3, 2026, and the description states compatibility from 1.38 to 1.61. It works as an optional mod in Convoy, SCS’s official multiplayer. No DLC required.
Known issues
Some users say that after enabling it, they don’t hear the voice until they select it manually in the navigation sound options. The author also publishes a version for American Truck Simulator.

Requirements

How to install it
- Open the mod's page on Steam Workshop and click “Subscribe”.
- Wait for Steam to finish the download.
- Launch ETS2, open the Mod Manager and enable “Google Maps Spanish Voices Navigation”.
- Go to Options > Audio and pick one of the four Google Maps variants as the navigation voice.
- Start a job with a GPS route to hear the directions.
Common problems
Is it in Spanish?
Yes: all the voices are in Castilian Spanish.
Can I use it in Convoy?
Yes: the author says it works as an optional mod in Convoy.
I can't hear the new voice
Manually select one of the Google Maps voices in the navigation audio options.
Is there an ATS version?
Yes: the author publishes a separate version for American Truck Simulator.
