What this mod does
Hyper Tannery is a mod by PedriJoe for tanning hides in bulk. It adds its own block, the Hyper Tannery, which you upgrade through nine tiers by paying with materials from the trade itself: light, medium and heavy leather and Sturdy Chitin.
What each tier improves
- Speed: the bonus goes from +0.0 at tier 1 to +0.9 at tier 9.
- Input slots: from no extra slots up to +7.
- Output slots: +2 at almost every tier and +4 at the last one.
The first versions modified the game’s tannery (Bench_Tannery). Since 1.1.0 that tannery works as it always did again, and the upgrades only apply to the Hyper Tannery, which you craft at the workbench or the PJMods Bench. The page doesn’t give the exact amounts for each upgrade.
Requirements and Update 7
It needs PJ CoreLib. Version 1.1.5, from October 12, 2026, is the adaptation to Update 7; its changelog lists no other changes. The author suggests automating input and output with his Auto Sort – Organizer chest, and it fits in with his other upgradable benches, such as Hyper Furnace and Hyper Salvager, if you want to set up a production base. It’s most useful when you craft leather armor in bulk or supply a server.

Requirements
- Hytale (Early Access) on PC or server, version 0.7 (file PJ-HyperTannery-1.1.5.zip)

How to install it
- Open the Hyper Tannery page on CurseForge and click Install to set it up with the CurseForge app, or download PJ-HyperTannery-1.1.5.zip from the Files tab (the file marked 0.7).
- If you download it manually, copy the file as is, without unzipping it, into the mods folder: on Windows, %APPDATA%\Hytale\UserData\Mods.
- Also install PJ CoreLib the same way (it's required).
- Open Hytale, right-click the world, check Hyper Tannery in the mod list and save the world settings.
- On a dedicated server, put the file in the server's mods folder and restart it.
- Craft the Hyper Tannery at the workbench or the PJMods Bench and upgrade it from its interface.

Common problems
Does it change the game's regular tannery?
Not anymore. Since 1.1.0 the Bench_Tannery is back to normal; the upgrades only affect the Hyper Tannery block.
How much does each upgrade cost?
The page lists the materials (leathers and Sturdy Chitin), but not the amounts for each tier.
Can it be automated?
The author recommends his Auto Sort - Organizer chest mod to move input and output.
